Drive Safely in the Rain

Keeping your vehicle well maintained can help in rainy weather conditions. For example, having brakes and windshield wipers checked to be sure they are operating properly and not in need of maintenance or repair can help avoid dangerous situations on the road. Checking tire tread and keeping tires properly inflated, according to your vehicle’s specifications, is also important. Taking extra precautions to maintain a safe stopping distance can also help avoid danger in wet weather.  For more winter driving safety tips, see http://www.oregon.gov/ODOT/COMM/Pages/winterdriving.aspx#Driving_in_the_rain.
