Trump’s Executive Order On Immigration: Resources, Legal Assistance

Given concerns raised by the issuance of the executive order on January 27, 2017, I am posting some resources for those who are affected and have family members and friends who are affected. There is a great need for information and assistance from immigration attorneys. The following organizations are among those working to provide support locally:

American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Oregon: www.aclu-or.org

The Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO): www.irco.org

Immigration Counseling Service (ICS), a non-profit law firm: www.ics-law.org

Many local attorneys are working to assist affected individuals. The ICS website (above) has a link to a list of private immigration attorneys on its “Resources” page. The Oregon State Bar is also a good resource if you are attempting to find an attorney. You can reach the Oregon State Bar’s Lawyer Referral Service at 503-684-3763 or 1-800-452-7636.

I encourage clients with questions to call my office: 503-451-3656.
